  • Showing love to women who live as “Warrigirls and Hairoines” off the canvas and in real life I have chosen 5 women as, what I call, “am-badass-dors” to the show.  The first of these is the designer/tastemaker pair, twin sisters Coco and Breezy.  As part of their being am-badass-adors I am painting a piece representing each woman.  Here, check out the beginning stages of my @cocoandbreezy piece.

  • It’s always awesome when the vision I had in my head turns out how I pictured it on canvas. This “Hairoine” comprised of triangles is like nothing I’ve ever painted…and I like her! I can’t figure out why (maybe you can tell me lol).

The second piece is my giant jawn. It’s. Coming along nicely but still developing with every session. The work continues…

  • This first piece is something new I’m toying with. Using triangles as a base for the form. It’s a toughie for me because I’m not good at using light for the contour but it’s still a different style from my usual so that’s always a fun adventure. The second pic is of the “Angela Series” named for the owner of the best afro EVER, freedom fighter, warrigirl and hairoine, Angela Davis. Similar to my “Theo Series” (www.DivaWorksofArt.com) each will have a word where the face features would normally be. The paints on each canvas are with the backgrounds will be.
